The great thing about the South Bank is it’s always busy. When the sun comes out it’s one of London’s busiest places. Because there are so many camera-toting tourists hanging out around here, photographers blend into the background. It’s the perfect place to practice street photography skills. You have the chance of shooting some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Big Ben (currently undergoing a facelift), London Eye, and St Paul’s Cathedral, as well as city landscapes from the Tate Modern and the Skater community at the Southbank Skatepark. We will also spend a couple of hours in the Tate Modern, from where we will have some of the best views of the Shard and St Paul’s. After that, we will move to London Bridge and the Shard. This is a full day, practical development day, with lots of one to one attention and shooting time, which will push you beyond your current skill base.
During this workshop you will learn how to photograph this unique part of London and create timeless moments of exciting street life.
This is a practical Hands-on Street Photography Workshop.
The group is limited to four delegates; you're guaranteed to get my full attention.
We will meet at 10am for coffee and introduction (around 30 minutes) to commence the day and finish with a debrief in a bar or coffee shop for more inspiration and chat. I will also give you open and honest feedback and advice on your next steps.
After the workshop you will immediately improve your street photography and fill more confident shooting people in public spaces.
Suitable for all types of digital cameras. 4 persons max. All skill levels.
Workshop Duration: 10.00 am – 6 pm
